Coffee
If we have a foster, Coffee will be obtained next week, vetted and transported on 8/16. We do not have enough time to get him neutered, but will have injections and tests done.
We have brought into the program two very young dogs from this owner and they are very well socialized, friendly and doing well.
Coffee is approximately 4 years old. Coffee does have a fear of loud noises.
- As soon as I got out of my car, Coffee ran up to me in the driveway, jumped up on me and started giving me kisses. He was not at all timid around me. He wanted to soak up all the attention and pettings he could get. Super friendly dog.
- Coffee was comfortable with me touching him everywhere except for his back paws. He cringed badly when I touched his back paws, but he did not run away. Coffee really enjoyed being petted and cuddled.
- I took my 5-year-old male beagle Tank with me. As soon as I got Tank out of the car, Coffee immediately approached Tank and they began sniffing each other. Coffee was not at all nervous around Tank. Coffee did not show any interest in playing or wrestling around with Tank but he was friendly and comfortable around him.
- The family brought the cat outside near Coffee during the temperament test and I observed that Coffee showed no interest in the cat at all.
- The owner states that Coffee is an escape artist and frequently escapes from his kennel. He digs underneath and chews through the wooden frame on the door. The owner his nicknamed him Houdini.
- No known resource guarding issues. The owner states that all the dogs can be fed together without issue. The dogs do not play with toys.
- Coffee is not shy. He is super friendly. He was immediately comfortable with me and also with my beagle Tank.
- Coffee was friendly with my dog Tank but made no attempt to play with him or with any of the other dogs on the property.
- No fear or aggression. Coffee is friendly and comfortable with new people.
